HONEST REVIEW: O.TWO.O Cosmetics on Shopee & Lazada

For those who always get their beauty supplies on either Shopee or Lazada, you may have come across the super affordable cosmetic brand O.TWO.O. Aside from Sace Lady, it’s always on the top searches under the Beauty/Health category on these online selling platforms.

If you have not tried it yet and you’re wondering if this sketchy Chinese brand is worth your while, then please read on.

If you would like to watch my review on YouTube, click the video below:

O.TWO.O has been on my radar for a while when I do my online shopping. Not only was I amazed by its high-end packaging, but I was also impressed by how much each product from the brand costs. You would never know how cheap the products are at closer look unless you check them out yourself online.

For only P1080, I was able to buy 8 products from the said brand to conduct a full face makeup test and review.

I got the following:

  • O.TWO.O Pore Perfecting Primer – ₱114.00
  • O.TWO.O Drop Liquid Foundation – ₱117.00
  • O.TWO.O Stellar Dream Romance 16 Colors Eyeshadow Palette – ₱307.39
  • O.TWO.O Gold Mascara – ₱84.64
  • O.TWO.O Rose Gold Super Waterproof Eyeliner Pen – ₱98.00
  • O.TWO.O Contour + Blush Palette – ₱124.74
  • O.TWO.O Love Highlight Powder in #03 – ₱166.00
  • O.TWO.O Rose Gold 2 in 1 Matte Lipstick & Liquid Lipstick in #02 – ₱75.73

Please note though, that I bought these products during Lazada’s Mid-Year Sale. Therefore, the prices of the following products may have gone up at the time of writing this review.

Pore Perfecting Primer

This product promises to minimize the look of pores and fine lines, as well as giving your face a soft-matte finish.

Just like the Sace Lady All Matte Face Primer, the O.TWO.O Pore Perfecting Primer has a translucent color. When I applied the product on my face, I initially felt greasy given the humid condition of the room I was in. However, the product eventually settled on my skin and after a few seconds, my face felt velvety and smooth without the heavy feeling most foundation primers are known for.

You would also love to bring this product along with you in your travels as the packaging looks high-end. You would not be embarrassed to whip this out of your bag anytime, anywhere.

In itself, I love the primer and would use it again as part of my makeup routine.

Drop Liquid Foundation

Of all the liquid foundations I have ever owned, this liquid foundation is probably the one with the most luxurious look. It comes in a small glass bottle with a white dropper and a gold rim. You would have a hard time believing this foundation only costs ₱117.00 on Lazada.

However, the range for the shades is a letdown. There are only two shades available online. I got the #02 shade, obviously the darker choice. But I was shocked to know that the shade I got was not even for my medium skin tone. Moreover, it has a pink undertone that would have been suitable for fair-skinned people.

In the box, it says it will give you an ideal full coverage. However, this isn’t the case! It only offers light coverage, so your imperfections a.k.a blemishes and acne marks are still visible after application.

A few minutes after the application, the foundation slightly oxidized on my skin and I looked better than when I first applied it on my face. Still, I was not satisfied with its overall performance on me.

The foundation would have worked better on fair-skinned people who have less to zero marks on their faces. For morenas like me, we can skip on this one.

Stellar Dream Romance 16 Colors Eyeshadow Palette

The packaging was marvelous and out-of-this-world brilliant. It also comes with a big, shiny mirror (peel plastic sticker first). I also fell in love with the shades in the palette, which the brand claims are inspired by the colors of the “nebula in the depths of the cosmos”.

But alas! When I closely inspected the palette, I found white specks of something unknown on the shades Dimmed, Crack, and Metal (all three glitter shades). I tried scratching off the white pigments, but they just keep on showing!

Also, the fall-out on the eyeshadow is crazy! It’s also powdery, so it’s kind of hard to blend. The poor quality of the brushes I use for eye makeup could have also been a factor for its inadequate blendability. But that’s just my two cents.

Aside from the great packaging, one takeaway from using this eyeshadow palette is how pigmented the shades are. So don’t go crazy putting a lot of the product on your eyelids and just build it up slowly to achieve your desired eyeshadow effect.

Gold Mascara

As with other products from the O.TWO.O makeup line, the packaging of the mascara also screams high-end. C’mon guys, it’s gold!

The good: the mascara elongated my short eyelashes. The bad: my eyelashes looked spider legs!

I am not much of a fan of this mascara, tbh.

Rose Gold Super Waterproof Eyeliner Pen

I love this waterproof eyeliner pen!

Although it doesn’t dry up fast, it offers a soft pointy felt tip that helps deliver a smooth and precise application. I have more control over how I look and when I make a mess, I can easily wipe it off and start again. Furthermore, it’s smudge-free!

Since it’s waterproof, it took a while for me to remove the product off my eyelids come the time I wanted to remove my makeup later in the day.

Contour + Blush Palette

The packaging of this product wasn’t as jaw-dropping as the others, but I love its performance on my skin. It’s very pigmented and not powdery.

I wasn’t sure why they would name it Contour + Blush as the shades I got from the 4-shade palette are only suitable as cheek blush. I was really confused. I just accepted the fact that all 4 shades, which includes 2 shimmery options, are for the cheeks and I just have to look elsewhere for contouring.

Love Highlight Powder

This highlight powder has unique, cute packaging. It also has a heart-shaped mirror inside so you can take your highlighter game anywhere.

If you use a brush, the highlighter tends to be very powdery. The product easily clings into the brush, so it can be easy to overdo it on your face.

The product also looks brittle and I’ve noticed easy cracking with a little swipe of the brush. You would have to be careful when handling this product as it would be easy to break the highlighter once it falls out of your hand or makeup bag.

Rose Gold 2 in 1 Matte Lipstick & Liquid Lipstick

It’s so rare for me to encounter a lipstick that offers a 2 in 1 feature. Having a lipstick with a liquid lipstick at the other end of the stick was something I was so excited about when I ordered this product online.

The 2 in 1 Matte Lipstick has 12 different shades to choose from. I chose the shade #02, which in person has a dark, intense color on my lips.

The lipstick at the top is a bit glossy and it’s not transfer-proof. You can easily wipe the product off your lips using makeup or facial wipes. On the other hand, the liquid lipstick with a doe foot applicator at the bottom is mattifying when dry and only has a little transfer upon testing.

For something that only costs ₱ 75.73, I think the 2 in 1 Matte lipstick was a good deal.

Overall, my opinion on the O.TWO.O cosmetic brand is divided. There are products in the line that I love and there are some that I would not use again i.e. the Gold Mascara and Drop Foundation.
