5 Best Pop Culture Team Ups

When you’re out there battling the greatest threats to your world, you know there’s just too much for you to handle. Going alone is a recipe for defeat, and so you must solve your problem with a little teamwork.

The best teams in pop culture are, surprisingly, those who don’t share the same interests or goals, but find themselves facing the same nemesis. Whether or not they are in it for the money or for avenging the people they love, these individuals have united for a common cause to attain something beyond amazing.

Harry, Hermione, Ron

Harry, Ron, Hermione

You’ll know that a group is one of the greatest in history when they have managed to survive a series of books or movies together. Such case is the wizarding trio of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter novels.  Harry, Hermione, and Ron all made it through 7 books and 8 movies together, surviving every monstrosity and villainy their magical world had served them. One great leader, one brave ginger soul, and one brainy gal- that’s all you really need to defeat the evil forces led by He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

The Avengers

They are the Earth’s mightiest heroes, a force to be reckoned with! Sure, each of them could win in any fights, but when these superheroes band together, they are unstoppable. At the moment, Marvel Studios has been raking in a lot of cash from the Avengers franchise as well as from the standalone films of some of its members. In the grand scale of things, the Avengers is not only the biggest Marvel team up going at the moment, but it’s also a literal billion dollar property that’s putting a lot of moolah in Marvel’s bank accounts. #Blessed.

The Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians of the Galaxy

If you ask us which superhero team-up is the most kickass of them all, we’ll point to Peter Quill’s team of intergalactic outlaws. These oddballs may not have come together by choice, but they sure can defeat just about anything when they work as one, including Ego the Living Planet, a.k.a. Peter’s true father (Oops! Spoiler). With the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, we now know that the first movie of the franchise wasn’t just a one-hitwonder. It’s simply different from other Marvel films with its edgy and humorous approach, something a lot of superhero movies should adopt.

The A-Team

The A-Team

Name any impossible feat or mission and you’ve got The A-Team to take on that task without breaking a sweat. These former members of an Army Special Forces Unit were framed for a crime they didn’t commit and went on the run, taking on daredevil missions to score some fortune. The squad made up of John “Hannibal” Smith, Templeton “Faceman” Peck, H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock, and Bosco “B.A.” Baracus solves cases no one dares or have failed to uncover.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

The 21st century got the Avengers and the Justic League, but back in the Victorian Era there was the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. This superhero team of sorts is made up of extraordinary figures culled from great adventure literature in the said time period. They’ve got Allan Quatermain from King Solomon’s Mines, Mina Harker from Dracula, Captain Nemo, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and the Invisible Man.

We know we left a lot of great team-ups out there, so help us recognize them by commenting your favorite squad in the comments section below!
