There’s actually a story of how I stumbled upon this product online.
I was actually curious to know how much it really cost to create a single makeup product like a lipstick.
When I go online, I see cheap and sketchy products that have really great reviews. So I asked myself, what’s the difference between this product and say a luxury brand like MAC or Chanel? If people were happy using this cheap option, then why should I buy the very expensive equivalent if it can perform “ALMOST” like the overpriced one.
The Truth About the Cost of Cosmetics
Quality in the cosmetics business can vary greatly. Since I’m naturally curious, I asked Google the actual cost of producing a makeup.
And… guess what! It only costs ₱ 50- ₱ 128 ($1-2.50) to produce a lipstick. Why does some lipstick in the market cost ₱ 400 ($4) while others cost ₱ 2500 ($50)?
The ingredients in these products often account for no more than 15% of the cost. Mainly what people are paying for is marketing, packaging, and brand prestige. So it’s really possible that price does not really correlate to quality when it comes to cosmetic products.
I went first on Lazada to search for a well-rated yet cheap makeup brand that I could try. And I stumbled upon the
Reviewing Sace Lady Products
I purchased to review 7 Sace Lady products namely:

First, let’s dive into the Sace Lady Invisible Pore All Matte Face Primer. This is only ₱259 on Lazada. Very affordable considering its size. It promises to minimize facial pores, moisturize, and give your face a flawless finish.
What I really like about the product is that it’s very light on your skin. It has a non-oily formula that gives your skin a satiny finish. It gives your face a smooth mattifying effect and it makes your pores and fine lines invisible.
I didn’t order their foundation, concealer, and cheek blush on because I was afraid that if I put these products generously on my sensitive skin, then I would have a major breakout, which I don’t wish upon myself. Hence, I only used my trusted L’Oreal Infallible 24-hr Freshwear Foundation and the Maybelline Age Rewind concealer with the L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer that I also got recently.

I didn’t quite like using the beauty blender as it didn’t perform its job that well, so I was back to using my old makeup sponge.
To cover my acne marks and blemishes, I used the L’Oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer. I ordered this from Lazada for only ₱ 400.
For my under eye, I used the incredible Maybelline Age Rewind treatment concealer which I got from a sale in Watsons, from ₱ 399 to ₱ 299. I love this product as it makes me look fresh and younger by erasing the dark circles around my eyes.
Next, I tried the Sace Lady Waterproof Eyebrow Tint Gel in #02 Dark Brown. Inside the box is the eyebrow tint gel in a cool plastic bottle with a pump. There are also two tiny brow brushes. It claims that it’s waterproof, smudge-proof and long-lasting.
I recommend that you lightly dip the brow brush into the gel and outline your brows, then fill it in and thicken as you go. I admit my first attempt didn’t go as planned, but I find that correcting the error with the eyebrow gel was so easy.
To curl my short lashes, I used my ever trusted and probably the most famous Shu Uemura eyelash curler. I got this curler from Beauty MNL for ₱ 1,400. I consider it the greatest eyelash curler in the world. It’s a pain-free tool with an impressive curling power.
I was actually excited to arrive at this part of my review.
Here’s the
As you can see, the product is really cute and you can easily fit it in inside your purse. It doesn’t look cheap as its container has a gold color. It also comes with a nice, clear mirror. The eyeshadow palette is a dream to blend. It’s very pigmented, so you don’t need a lot of the product to achieve your desired look.
To highlight my face, I used the Sace Lady Highlighter Cream Makeup Face Glitter in #3 Peach Champagne. Among the three available shades, I believe this is the one that’s for the morenas like me. It’s also my first time using this kind of highlighter.
It actually feels weightless and it glides on your face easily so you’ll get that natural glow instantly. Just dab along the cheekbones, brow bone, and bridge of your nose.
Lastly, I tried the
I first tried out the Warm Terracotta shade. It doesn’t dry out instantly, so you’ll have enough time to glide and apply the product properly on your lips. It’s also good to know that it doesn’t give you a drying effect later on.
I honestly love how the Matte Liquid Lipstick feels on my lips. Although I got these lippies for ₱ 85 each on
Verdict
The Sace Lady makeup brand is probably the best yet most affordable makeup product I have ever seen anywhere. It beats out cheap, local brands in terms of quality. Moreover, it doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket. Imagine, a long lasting, waterproof and transfer-proof lipstick for only ₱ 85?
You have to try it to believe it!
